Position Summary

The Inside Sales Manager provides internal support to the Outside Sales Representatives of RBI Solar and TerraSmart through managing relationships with current or prospective customers, working with the Sales Team on presentations, reporting, data collection, and analysis. They will oversee and develop members of the Inside Sales Teams of RBI Solar and TerraSmart to increase success for sales representatives. The Inside Sales Manager should be a team-builder and resourceful problem solver who can motivate and coach their team and fellow co-workers.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

  • Managing and support members of the Inside Sales team.
  • Manage relationships with current and prospective customers through email and /or phone.
  • Create and gather presentation materials.
  • Act as the main internal point of contact for Sales-related inquiries.
  • Report-out status of projects at the sales stage or 'in the pipeline'.
  • Coordinate the preparation of Sales proposals and presentations.
  • Filter and forward on qualified leads to assigned Sales Representatives.
  • Serve as the liaison between internal departments, the Sales Representative, and the customer.
  • Support Sales Representatives on preparing information or coordinating details related to presentations and customer visits.
  • Respond to customer questions and requests.
  • Assess the processes necessary to make sales and find improvement opportunities; formulate and suggest more efficient methods and implement them.
  • Support and provide training to the Inside Sales Teams team. Give department updates, coach the team with suggestions.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)

Degree: HS Diploma/GED

Years of Experience: 3 + Years Area: Sales/Inside Sales

Work Conditions

Environment: Office

Travel: up to 30%

Special Work Conditions: Occasional Trade Shows & site visits.
