Position Summary

Coordinates activities of workers engaged in operating roll forming machinery to obtain optimum efficiency and economy of operations to maximize profits. Reports to Production Supervisor.


Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

  • Trains new workers in operation of equipment.
  • Inspects materials and products to maintain organization standards.
  • Confers with other leads to coordinate activities between departments. Responsible for the work effort of personnel to assigned machinery.
  • Coordinates activities of the machine operator personnel to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality,
  • Inspects product to verify production specifications are met.
  • Supports cost improvement initiatives and implementation of programs related to operational efficiency.
  • Assists in coordination of production schedules.
  • Serve as a point of contact for machine operator personnel.

Secondary Accountabilities

In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.

Supervisory Responsibilities: Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Degree: High School Major: General

Years of Experience: 3+ Years Area: Manufacturing (Heavy machinery preferred)

Years of Experience: 1+ Years Area: Manufacturing Lead
