Position Summary

The Project Manager provides effective leadership by managing all aspects of a project including, quality, timeliness, and profitability.

Primary Accountabilities (Essential Duties)

  • Own and manage all aspects of projects, schedules, budgets, profitability, procedures, etc. through comprehensive project completion working in conjunction with team of project managers
  • Establishment of project plan, estimates, schedule, resource and material requirements for assigned projects
  • Identify and handle all field issues
  • Follow up on all PO deliveries, tracking shipments, and/or missing items
  • Oversee all field crew and sub-contractors to ensure adherence to quality and project timelines
  • Directing assigned projects and taking appropriate actions to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and with defined resources
  • Identify, procure, process, and review all required permits and inspections
  • Maintain appropriate documentation throughout the project including change order logs, submittal logs, etc. and prepare and present project status reports
  • Monitor, process and verify all field crew pay requests
  • Responsible for providing effective communication internally and externally regarding project status and reporting
  • Manages the overall site safety program as required, providing safety orientation to new employees and enforcing worker's compliance with company standards and all applicable safety codes and regulations
  • Identifies and corrects project issues in a timely and cost effective manner through diligent oversight
  • Manage project through comprehensive completion and close out documentation delivery

Secondary Accountabilities

In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individuals may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)

Degree: Bachelor's Degree Major: Construction Management, Architecture, or Related

Years of Experience: 3+ Years Area: Project Management

Years of Experience: 3+ Years Area: Foreman, Construction Supervisor

Competencies / Technical Skills

Organizational Competencies: Initiative

Additional Position Competencies (max 4): Knowledge/experience in concrete and/or steel construction preferred

Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office products

Licenses / Certifications

OSHA 10-30 preferred

Physical Requirements (Approximate time spent to be included in physical demands such as walking, or bending, specific lifting requirements (lbs) and/or other requirements such as vision or hearing).

Must be able to sit, walk, see and hear.
