Summary of the Opportunity:

The Field Construction Coordinator is responsible for overseeing and assisting construction projects from mobilization to completion while ensuring quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques. This position will act as a liaison to the Project Manager.


In a typical day you might:

  • Oversee all onsite construction to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations
  • Meet contractual conditions of performance
  • Review the work progress daily
  • Prepare internal and external reports pertaining to job status
  • Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones
  • Analyze, manage, and mitigate risks
  • Identify changes in projects that impact cost, schedule, or labor requirements
  • Ability to take site dimensions, understand construction framing and fabrication
  • Coordinate pre-construction tasks
  • Troubleshoot potential installation issues 

What a Typical Week Looks Like:

  • Coordinate and supervise subcontractors on assigned projects
  • Conduct testing of potential project sites to aid engineering with foundation design
  • Continually monitor progress of projects; review reports to ensure adherence to timeline and budgetary guidelines
  • Be onsite to sign off on QA/QC forms

In order to be successful, you will need:

  • Associate's Degree in Construction Management, or related field
  • 1+ years of Construction Manager experience
  • Prior experience in the manufacturing or construction industry 
  • Willing to travel up to 75%
  • Understanding of all facets of the construction process
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Suite products
  • Ability to multi-task and juggle many competing priorities simultaneously
  • Capable of working both independently and as part of a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
